Robert Jardine

I attended Saint Mary's College for two years and then Cal-stste East Bay two years graduating in 1966 with a B.A.in business administration. I worked 42 years in the Postal Service, retiring in 2008.Sue and I have beenmarried for 14 wonderfull years. We enjoy taking long walks, gardening (I do most of the gardening since Sue is still working),and traveling especially to see our family in the Portland Oregon area.Besides walking I have been swimming a couple of times a week since 1981 at the Hayward Plunge (lap swimming).I also enjoy watching and talking sports (baseball, basketball and football) and especially enjoy attending A's games and St.Mary's Collage basketball games...

Bishop Cummins who was Father Cummins at that time, .teaching our sociology class brought in an album and told us to listen to the. beautiful blending of voices and .harmonies. He was so right. That group was one of the greatest folk groups of all time; .Peter Paul. and Mary. A basketball memory: Father Donovan coach of the B.O.D. .boys freshmen basketball team at that time was so displeased with the way we played defense in the first half , he had us hold up our hands over our heads for the entire halftime break. We played a whole lot better defense in the second half.
